CORPORATE MANAGEMENT


Charles (Chip) Paliocha, President
Mr. Paliocha studied Computer and Information Science at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, graduating Magna Cum Laude in 1982. During the years prior to founding ESI, he was consultant to IBM in Fishkill, Wappinger Falls and Kingston, New York. As Systems Development Director of a large consulting firm he supervised project managers at AT&T Bell Laboratories. In 1990 he founded Evolving Systems, Inc., created VNIS (venus) which is an MS Windows telecommunications application, and marketed it to customers in the US, Canada, and Australia. For the past eleven years he has directed ESI toward creating software engineering solutions for internet and intranet based client initiatives.

Andrew Sempere, Creative Director
Mr. Sempere is graduate of Phillips Academy, The Art Institute of Chicago, BFA, and Massachusetts Institute of Technology, MS. He has recently completed a graduate fellowship with MIT Media Lab. While at the lab, Mr. Sempere worked with the Grassroots Invention Group, focusing on development, epistemology and learning. He has worked on an MIT Initiative for Technology and Self as a design and database consultant and is a also co-founder of the Tangentlab Collective. Mr. Sempere has been with Evolving Systems part and full time since 1997.

Melissa Kalbfus, Vice-President, Operations
Ms. Kalbfus has a BA in humanities from Ohio Wesleyan University (1975). She has gathered extensive experience in all aspects of film and video development, including Copy Writing and Editing, Commercial and Multimedia Production. She brings her production experience as well as her visual and literary background together here, coordinating the writing, editing and visual components of ESI's diversified projects.

Heshi Gorewitz, Vice-President, Business Development
Mr. Gorewitz has been involved in business development for over twenty-years. He has experience in the financial services area, as well as marketing and sales. He has acted as both a consultant and principal in a diverse range of businesses, from financial to light manufacturing to health care. Beginning in 1974, he was involved in founding a kibbutz in Israel. After 15 years as a farmer, graduate of the Ruppin Agricultural Institute and NCO in the Israeli Air Force reserves, he returned to the United States with his family.

Bill O'Connor, CFO
Mr. O'Connor holds two graduate degrees: an MS in Taxation and Accounting from Fordham University and MBA from Manhattan College in Computer Science and Management Information Systems. His past experiences include being a fiduciary accountant and consultant to Commercial and Investment Banks. These include J. P. Morgan Chase, Deutsche Bank, CityCorp, Bank of New York.

Austin Metze, Design Director
Mr. Metze is the principal in the design firm, Metze Publication Design. Over the past thirty-five years he has worked as an associate art director of Time magazine; the art director of Time¹s Canadian edition; art director of Us magazine; art director of Outdoor Life magazine and produced numerous special issues for People magazine, including the design of their 20th Anniversary issue. His firm designed and produced the Mixed Media catalogs for the Book-of-the-Month Club for the past five years. They have been involved in magazine redesigns, most notably National Review magazine, and have won two Ozzie Design awards and two Creativity Awards from Art Direction magazine.

James Weston, Director of Sales
Mr. Weston has 15 years of sales and marketing experience, eight of which have been focused exclusively on the Internet economy. He co-founded and managed one of the first successful Internet portals covering the alternative medicine community (holistic.com), building it into a respected source for natural products and services. He joined Evolving Systems in 1998, and continues to immerse himself in the best practices for the web-enablement of business systems.
